MERN, with React on the front end, is the one to pick when you want to hire fast and keep hiring. React has the largest developer pool of the three by a wide margin, so a role you open gets a real shortlist in days, and the person who moves on in a year is easy to replace. It fits product teams shipping a lot of interface, startups that expect to grow the front-end team, and anyone who wants a big library of components and answers behind them rather than strict structure.
MEAN puts Angular on the front end, and Angular arrives opinionated. It ships with TypeScript, a router, forms, and dependency injection in the box, so a bigger team writes code that looks the same across people without first agreeing on ten libraries. That structure earns its keep once you have eight or more engineers in the front end, a long-lived enterprise app, or a codebase that has to still make sense to someone who joins two years from now. The cost is a steeper learning curve and a smaller hiring pool than React.
MEVN uses Vue, which sits between the other two. It is gentler to learn than Angular and tidier by default than React, a good fit for a small team that wants a clean codebase without a heavy framework to argue with. The pool is smaller than React's, so plan your hiring a little further ahead.
